It Works at Work

The company I'd worked for over twenty-five years moved out of the area. I was fifty-four-years old at the time, and it wasn't easy getting a job, but I did find work as a janitor at a medical facility. After three months doing a job I didn't like, an opening in the mail room was up for grabs. I applied for and got the job. I really enjoyed the work. This was in March 1986, two months short of my eight-years-sober mark.
