The Healing Power of Honesty

Besides being an alcoholic, I'm a court clerk, and one thing I do is process the requests for payment submitted by court-appointed attorneys. When I was ten years sober, I noticed that one of them, Terry, showed up only about half the times he was supposed to but billed as much as ten times higher than those who came regularly. In comparing his bills with the court files, I discovered that he was charging for a lot of things he wasn't doing.
