Lost and Found

In March 1983, the motorcycle I was riding was broadsided by a speeding car and I landed in a hospital in critical condition. At twenty years old and already an alcoholic, I happened to be sober when I was hit. I don't know if the woman who hit me was drunk or sober; it was a hit-and-run accident and she was never caught.
