Meetings, Meetings, Meetings?

I joined AA in 1984. Since that time I've met and known several people who, having found sobriety, having learned to live effectively with others and peaceably with themselves, have chosen not to attend meetings anymore. One friend, an old drinking buddy, wrote in a letter to me of her happy news that she'd joined the Fellowship.
