An Atheist Lets Go

Years ago, when I first began to play with the idea that I might be an alcoholic, I spoke with a few people who were members of AA hoping to gain an insight into my problem. But with each person I spoke to I ran into a roadblock in the form of the Second and Third Steps. The usual message I received was that it was all right to be an atheist as long as I believed in God. Neat trick.
