Soaking Up Sobriety

I was a year dry, and by that I mean I had no real program of recovery, no spiritual solace. I did do one thing: I went to meetings. Lots of meetings. And I didn't do one thing: I didn't drink. But I wanted to drink. Except for brief periods at most meetings and maybe for a few minutes afterward when some of us would talk, I was obsessed by booze.
