Lightening Up

Recently at my Sunday morning spiritual awakening meeting I had a revelation. The topic was resentments and of course everyone had something to say. About halfway through the meeting, it suddenly dawned on me that I'd never made an amends to someone against whom I'd been carrying a major resentment for nine years. This revelation surprised me because the fellow (let's call him Tom) featured boldly in my Fourth Step. Somehow I had buried or maybe just dismissed my feelings of anger toward him. Immediately following this bombshell, I called a buddy of mine aside and told him of this sudden resurfacing from the past. He said, as we often say, "More will be revealed" and proceeded to tell me of a resentment he had buried for over ten years.
