Not Right for a Woman
A former editor of New Zealand's AA magazine, Mainstay, talks about getting sober.
You get out of detox, they throw you out on the street, and tell you to get phone numbers! I asked someone to be my sponsor only because I was too frightened to say anything else to anybody! Their favorite line to the newcomer was: "You got a better idea?" Well, I certainly didn't.
