A June to Remember

This month, the AA Grapevine turns fifty-five years old. We thought about how we might acknowledge this achievement and celebrate our good fortune at having been such an integral part of AA for all these years, and decided that the best thing we could do would be to celebrate the founding of AA itself, especially since June 10th will mark the sixty-fourth anniversary of AA. So, in this special issue we've chosen to commemorate Dr. Bob and Bill W., our Fellowship's co-founders, with two articles about their lives. The article about Dr. Bob first appeared in the September 1978 Grapevine, and the article about Bill W. is reprinted from Reader's Digest. And, since it is our birthday, too, we have also chosen to reprint an article written by Bill about the Grapevine--what it is and how it began--entitled "What Is Our AA Grapevine?"
