"Look for the similarities not the differences" was told to me often in early sobriety. Twelve years later I continue to practice this (or at least I try). Therefore I thank you for the reprint of "Happiness is Not For Me" from January 1971. I am not happy all the time. I struggle with my defects, and usually I don't let go until I've suffered some pain and anguish. I'm better than I was, but I'm not finished yet. I thank AA and my Higher Power for this recognition.
