I am a recovering alcoholic, sober in AA for the past ten months. I was amazed when my sponsor advised me to take up service as the secretary of a local group, after my being sober for only six months. Our group, the second oldest in the north of India, celebrated its tenth anniversary in October 1998. I am very delighted to make a small observation that if one does things one day at a time, days become weeks, then months become years, and so on. Life is not all that difficult, one day at a time.
