A Hard Day's Night

It was eight days before Christmas and events were a little blurred. I knew I had just rear-ended another vehicle and was in trouble, though I didn't understand how the police had gotten to the scene of the accident so quickly. Later, I learned they had observed the accident happening as they were clocking me in a radar trap. I was off to jail once again, but something different happened this time. I told the police I wanted to call Alcoholics Anonymous. I'd had only one contact with people in the Fellowship, and that had been over twenty years before.
