Knute and Me
Memories of a healed marriage and early AA from the wife of an AA member. Leila M. is now ninety years old.
Uneasy thoughts about my husband, Knute, crowded my mind that morning in February 1950. I had just put Katie, our almost-two-year-old daughter, down for her nap. Knute was home, pacing the floor as though looking for a way out of a trap, as in truth he was.
