A helpful story

Recently I was hanging out at our meeting place when the phone rang. The caller told me that he knew he needed support to stay sober, but he was an atheist and wasn't comfortable coming to AA. I told him I'd research the Internet for an idea that would help him. By "coincidence," a few days later I picked up an old Grapevine at the club and found the perfect article for him: "The Orderly Advance of Recovery" (July 1999) written by an alcoholic atheist who has been sober for twenty-eight years. Good story! Thank you for this wonderful magazine. I believe it's one more gift from God.
