Old advice

"Keep it simple," Toni said. It was after a morning AA meeting where I'd once again found myself questioning the purpose of life, or, more pointedly, my place in it. "Listen," she said, "you're a good man. You're a good father, a good husband, a good member of this group and this community. What more do you need?" She wasn't taking my inventory. She was reminding me to have some gratitude and to change my perspective.
