Beside the Running Waters

I am here beside the waters of the Meramec River sitting next to a bonfire, which I stacked in tepee fashion as I have been taught. It is beginning to burn efficiently with a nice clean shape, rising into the summer sky. After having been away for a long time, I have completed several hours and a few miles on a float trip with a great bunch of people.
