Moderating the moderator
I really enjoyed Jim B.'s article, "In Moderation" (June 2000). Our group has a page of guidelines for the moderator, or as we say, the chairperson. We have a busy group with people coming and going: Some members find a conversation or a cigarette break helpful; others come from or go to work, family, and other obligations.
