At my first AA meeting, I explained to the person who'd brought me there (later to become my sponsor) that I was a very busy person. I taught evening classes and also enjoyed the sport of curling most of the winter. I thought I could get to one meeting a week most weeks. My sponsor just smiled and explained that AA was more important to him than his wife, his kids, or his job, because without AA he wouldn't have any of these.
