Water therapy

The technique Ray R. described in his August 1999 letter to the Grapevine is similar to one I often use for meditation times. On my back with ears submerged, I begin with a picture of power--one that an AA member with a Ph. D. in physics passed on to me. He told me that the energy required to evaporate enough water to provide two inches of gentle rain on the state of Connecticut is more than the total energy released by all the atomic and nuclear explosions in this century. This gives me a concrete comparison between God's quiet power and the human power which couldn't relieve my alcoholism.
