I think I've discovered the difference between ten years of sobriety and twenty-one years of sobriety. I share a house with two other women. We are all fairly tidy and the house stays neat, but recently one of my roommates began leaving dirty dishes in the sink when she left for work in the morning. At first I pretended it wasn't happening. (My typical first line of defense--denial.) When that didn't work, I decided she was just going through a busy time, and would soon mend her ways. She didn't, so I started gathering material for a smoldering little resentment.
