A Room Full of Hope

I knew I was in a jam that first night when the wine was brought out and the socializing began. Just about three months sober, I was on a five-day bicycle adventure tour in the San Juan Islands of Washington with twenty-two people. I was tired from the physical activity, lonely and confused about my feelings, and away from my support and family. Yes, I had put myself in the middle of it all right! It was the perfect vacation for the person I had been four months before!
