Truly Welcome?

Can a person be black and fit in at AA meetings? Not long ago, an AA member spoke of being at a convention where that topic was brought up. I was told that some thought a pamphlet for black people should be written. One advocate of this idea was a white minister who brought a black alcoholic some literature. He reportedly said something to the effect of this: "It was all I could do. We had nothing else in common."
