Egegik, Alaska: 'My Kinda Town'

With about seven years of sobriety under my belt and the newfound courage to face my fears (learned from working the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous), my husband and I decided to try our hand at commercial set-net fishing in a remote part of Alaska called Egegik Bay. No phone, no pool, no pets. No electricity, no bathroom, and no shower, either! And, from what I'd heard, no AA and lots of alcoholism. I was nervous!
