I related to the story in the May issue about the ABCs of sobriety. I spent many attempts at recovery fighting those who could have guided me with sincerity and a gentle, loving program. Instead, I found a woman who grew up in the first groups in Akron and Cleveland. A more hard-core old-timer I couldn't have found, but she was my road to sanity and sobriety.
