What ever happened to AA's primary purpose--"to carry the message to the alcoholic who still suffers"? My little brother decided he needed help. I brought him to a speaker meeting to see if he heard something he liked. To my chagrin, the speaker spoke of nothing but his addiction to cocaine and how that lead to crack and his losing everything. He made almost no mention of alcohol. The following week, another speaker got up and did the same thing. My brother could not relate at all and said that he would never attend that meeting again.
