A Road Map and a Meeting Directory

Greetings, friends. I am an AA member living on the Alberta prairie. While I was looking at the map of Western Canada in the February issue of the Grapevine, I pondered the vastness of this region and marveled at how Alcoholics Anonymous was one small constant throughout. Rural Alberta, for instance, is peppered with small towns. They are scattered across the prairies and dot the mountain regions; they have carved out their place in the forests and are small pockets of humanity in the barren north. But no matter where I live or where I travel to in this varied landscape, Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other. It's the same with the Grapevine. I enjoy the articles and letters from around the globe. The difference in culture and geography always grabs my attention, but it's the language of the heart (the constant) that speaks to me and reaches me with what I need. Finding the grace of God in Wabamun, Alberta is just as miraculous as finding the grace of Allah in the streets of Bombay.
