It All Comes Out In the Wash

My husband, David, and I met in AA and were married three years ago. In May of this year, we went to Oklahoma City, so David could have a liver transplant. The transplant and the two years leading up to it were difficult for both of us, and although I attended meetings as regularly as I could and talked to people whenever possible, something was missing. I was not as close to God as I should be, and I was not getting to as many meetings as I needed. While David was in the hospital, our health insurance was cancelled, and our dog died. I was beginning to feel as if God didn't like me anymore.
