I just received my February 2001 issue with the announcement of your departure from the editor's chair. Since 1985, I have been sober, drunk, and, since 1992, sober again. During all that time, the Grapevine has played a central part in my sobriety. My daughter, who now has seventeen years of sobriety, subscribed to the Grapevine for me, and I read it, even when drinking. I know it played an important part in my decision to try to get sober again.
