There is a solution

I'd like to know why we don't go "by the book"--the Big Book of AA, that is--when we identify ourselves. On page xiii, it states, "We urge each of our Fellowship to omit his personal name, designating himself instead 'a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.' " If we just said that, there would be no chatter about addict/alcoholic or the cross-addicted.
