I was introduced to AA in 1958 only to decide that there were a zillion things wrong with it. I had my last drink in 1963, still not satisfied with the totality of the program. Since then, I have allowed my mind to be opened and become teachable. My teachers included a Buddhist monk, an atheist, and an Indian from the Colville tribe--all sober since their first AA meeting years before I came to AA.
