My Favorite Miracle

Last month, I received my chip for twenty-four years of sobriety. It was given to me at an AA meeting in a little Catholic church in San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico. But I clearly remember the terrible time I had living each day without alcohol early on. Getting through twenty-four minutes without a drink was tough. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine making it to the year 2000 without a drink.
