Service junkie

I hear the term "service junkie" more and more. The context it is used in almost always suggests (particularly to the newcomer) something derogatory about those who give their time and a good portion of their lives to ensuring that AA will be there for our descendants. "Service junkie" implies a defect of character, when, in fact, the opposite is true. Where would the group be without GSO? Where would GSO be without the group? Those in service keep the vital link between these two bodies in place. Please don't belittle it.
