I have a husband who has been a member of AA for the past twelve and a half years, and a son who would take anyone's breath away. He is mentally challenged and eighteen years of age. I say that with pride and gratitude because I know that all three of us are alive today only because of Lois and Bill W. and the Twelve Steps of AA. I have found recovery from the family disease of alcoholism in Al-Anon for fifteen years, and our son, whom we haven't left out, has touched people in Al-Anon and AA meetings around the world.
