Congratulations to C.B. of Springfield, Ohio, who has managed to stay sober for over seventeen years under such unique circumstances, although I am not certain that his or her sobriety has much to do with AA. The description of the Anonymous Meeting of AA ("Spice of Life," June 2000) made me scratch my head. It seems that as a group they assume other meetings are not safe; disregard supporting the larger AA service structure; and treat themselves to an annual banquet. Wow! I missed that in "How It Works." I'm glad that meeting is as anonymous as it is.
