Recently, a friend of ours in Cyprus (we lived for many years overseas) asked if we could find out whether there were any AA meetings in Kuwait, which she was visiting for the first time. We asked around, but without success. Then we called the Oklahoma intergroup and they gave us the number of a man named Joe. Although skeptical, we passed the news on to our friend. Lo and behold, last week our friend called to say that there really was an AA member named Joe in Kuwait and he'd started a group there twenty-six years ago. It's called Ray of Hope, and it meets three days a week.
