I have been celebrating the anniversary of my sobriety with the same young man for about ten years. This year, the circumstances of his life changed radically, and he wasn't able to make regular meetings. I called and invited him to celebrate with me as usual. He accepted, and I bought him a subscription to the Grapevine. He recently told me my gift kept him from going out and drinking again. I'm ecstatic.
