The Inc. of the Grapevine
In March 1946, Bill Wilson wrote a letter to Royal Shepard, of the law firm Naylon, Foster, and Shepard in New York, which was drafting the Certificate of Incorporation for the AA Grapevine. In the following excerpt from that letter, Bill set forth what he believed to be the prime purposes and responsibilities of the Grapevine.
