I'm writing in response to Tim G.s letter "Here's the rub" in the April 2001 issue. Twenty-five years ago I was one of those people who talked trash on religion. Since then I have grown up a little. You see, my mouth was a symptom of my problem, and the problem was that I had been hurt by church people. I felt less-than, and deep down I was really jealous and afraid. I wish I could take back all the foul-mouthed, hateful things I said back then, which I thought were funny. But the program teaches us we have only today. God loved me anyway and has granted me continuous sobriety.
