When I left New York in 1998 on what I hope will be a circumnavigation of the globe aboard a sailboat, I brought the AA International Directory with me, but I had no clue as to what to expect. The first person to greet us at the Customs Dock in Bermuda was someone I later met at a meeting. He kindly drove me to several meetings, including those at a convention there.
