Can't relate?
Early in my sobriety, members of my home group approached me about carrying the AA message into prisons. I refused, saying that I really couldn't relate to those people. Some time passed, and I found myself standing in front of a judge on a previous charge. He sentenced me to four months in jail. My sponsor turned to me and said, "It looks like God is doing for you what you could not do for yourself. You're going to relate to those people now!"
