The interview with Dr. Vaillant (May 2001) reminded me how much we in the Fellowship owe to the class a (nonalcoholic) trustees. These seven trustees donate significant time carrying the message of AA to professionals in their fields (law enforcement, medicine, and treatment, to name a few) and overseeing the financial and operational aspects of AA. They are present for a full week in April at the annual General Service Conference, attend three Board weekends a year, and go to numerous regional forums. Some have family members in the Fellowship; others are simply donating their time to a program they believe in.
