The smallest meeting I ever attended was in a small resort town in Maine. I was told that to find the meeting I should check with the guy at the local hotel. When I arrived at the hotel, the door was locked and a handwritten sign said: "Meeting across the street." So I wandered over and found a guy playing pool by himself. I said I was there for the AA meeting, and he promptly told me that if anyone showed up, I would be the speaker! No one did, so we sat and talked for an hour. He told me he opened the doors every week and played pool for an hour, just in case someone showed up.
