Because the Moon Came Out
I hit bottom when I was arrested for the second time for driving under the influence. My license was suspended for two years, and I was instructed to enter a detox and rehab. That was December 22, 1993. It was my birthday and the best birthday present I've ever gotten. But AA didn't guarantee anything except that I didn't have to hurt from alcohol again. My sobriety hasn't been easy.
