Focus on hope

I was locked up for two months and then sent to a twenty-eight day program where I was introduced to AA meetings. I completed the program, but had to return to jail for nine days until I went in front of the judge. All along I was told I would be going home. The judge, however, had a different idea: he sentenced me to eleven months in jail, with credit for treatment. So there I was, all ready to try AA, but I couldn't for seven more months.
