In twenty-five years, I have been in and out of Alcoholics Anonymous, in and out of jobs, homes, relationships, and jail as a direct result of my alcoholism. Every time I sobered up, I thought that this time I would do things differently. I just needed the right break, the right job, the right girlfriend.
