How I Found Alcoholics Anonymous In Perambur

After many years of glorious drinking and sometimes glorious oblivion, then after many years of being sick and tired of being sick and tired, even after promising God, myself, and others that my next drink would be my last, I decided to give religion a try. I decided to go for confession. I picked the youngest priest in the parish. Poor chap, he was stunned when I told him that it had been twenty-seven years since my last confession. He must have been two or three years older than my eldest son, who was twenty-seven plus. I was fifty-two years old, and this was in June 1988. The place: Perambur, India.
