One Won't Hurt You

I had been in AA ten years. I knew I couldn't drink, but I had no contented sobriety. I was an entertainer, trying to get a break as a comedian and singer. I had plenty of work but no real progress in becoming a star. I felt deep down that my not drinking was the reason for my lack of success. I would see other entertainers after shows drinking with agents and getting spots on TV, but I always left straight after the show because I didn't drink.
