Double Wedding

I received the gift of sobriety on November 6, 1974, and three months later I had to attend two weddings, back to back. I hadn't yet heard about putting a rubber band around your glass to distinguish it from all the others. Nor did I know I should get my own drink and keep a quarter in my pocket along with the telephone numbers of people I could call. All those were good things I learned later on when I attended more beginners meetings.
