I have been on-line for five years and have found it to be a wonderful tool for carrying the message to alcoholics who cannot get to regular, face-to-face meetings. But I have run into a few on-line groups that have missed the beam as well. One in particular seemed to have constant fighting, verbally abusive behavior, and just general chaos. It also appeared to be a one-man show. Sadly, there have been times when newcomers have entered the room looking for help, and left because no one reached out.
