Sober at Seventy

For sixty-five years, I had what most people desire out of life. I'd had a good childhood with a loving mother and sisters. When I was twenty-five, I married a great lady and had six children, all very bright and healthy. I had a good job, a beautiful home, nice cars, a boat, and the rest of the American dream. And I was able to send all my children to college to further their success in life. I was, to all appearances a happy, successful man. Then, when I was sixty-five, everything went to hell at once.
